Episode 3 of this season’s Podkast features two voices from the local news scene. At opposite ends of their respective careers in journalism, join host Richard Askam as he spends some time with a local legend and flourishing new multimedia journo.
Our first guest is none other than David Laister, the former Business Editor of the Grimsby Telegraph, Hull Daily Mail, Scunthorpe Telegraph and the local ‘Live’ websites, David has seen Grimsby at its high and low points throughout recent history - from the demise of the fishing industry and the start of the renewable energy. Having now left the world of journalism behind, David is the PR & Media Director for Fred Marketing.
Our second guest is Fin Gray, who is just starting out his career in the world of broadcast media and is about to start his degree at the University of Lincoln. Fin has been producing and editing The Podkast since we started and with David in the Podkast hotseat we couldn’t think of a better time to hear from Fin, and all about how an 18-year-old budding journalist sees Grimsby’s prospects.
