The North Lincolnshire Jobs Expo returns on Wednesday 18 September, with more than 50 of the region’s leading employers and hundreds of current vacancies.
Some of the region’s leading employers – including Ongo, Humberside Fire and Rescue, 2 Sisters, North Lincolnshire Council, Utility Warehouse, Teaching Personnel, Goodwin Healthcare, the NHS, RS Security Services, Options Autism and the Hales Group – are expected to be at the Baths Hall, Doncaster Road, Scunthorpe, 2pm to 6pm.
They will be joined by dozens of other employers from the retail, hospitality, teaching, manufacturing, logistics, public sector and health and social care sectors.
There is no need to book – just turn up between 2pm and 6pm if you are:
• wanting to take your first step on the career ladder
• looking to find a better paid or more fulfilling role
• needing information about local jobs, training and apprenticeships.
An employer who attended a previous Jobs Expo commented: “It’s been a really valuable, successful event. It’s not only been highly successful from a point of view of promoting our vacancies but also connecting with local businesses and sharing information about our education programmes.
“We had 15 applications at the event and hundreds of conversations with job seekers. It is great to speak face to face with potential future employees to discuss the roles and our business.”
Jobseekers will be able to:
• Meet top employers and network with leading local companies
• Fast track their job search by arranging interviews on the day
• Get tips on CV building, interview skills, local opportunities, benefits and more.
An exit poll of jobseekers at a previous Jobs Expo found that of the more than 700 people who attended the event, the majority said it had been worthwhile attending, with 64 per cent saying they would definitely be applying for vacancies and another 14 per cent saying they were considering doing so.
Organised by North Lincolnshire Council in partnership with the Jobcentre and the Department for Work and Pensions, the 18 September 2024 Jobs Expo is the latest in a series of these popular events, which have proved highly successful in matching local employers with hundreds of local people eager to take on new roles.
